A minimum wage is a market-breaking concept. It’s designed to break the market in order to improve the life of those who are at the bottom of it by making them more expensive than their worth on that particular market.

If you were selling cotton candy, and I told you that your product should be priced at $1 per pound because no one would buy it if it was less, how would you react? You might think me crazy or greedy for trying to sell something so cheap; but if I told you that we’re talking about people instead of cotton candy, then suddenly my argument makes sense.
