Reference Locker is a mixed reference that “locks” one part of the cell reference while the other part can change. This is helpful for creating tables and charts where you want to show data on different pages without having to edit formulas or update references every time.

This includes page breaks, which means the cells will be locked onto their respective pages even if there are new rows added above them in your table. To use this function with an existing range of data, enter it into Excel as usual but wrap it inside two brackets: {{ }}.

The bracketed text will become frozen and cannot be edited until you unlock it by reentering the two brackets again ({{}). Cells must have an adequate row.
